The speed of construction—with some modular homes completed in weeks rather than months—allows for faster response to housing needs.

Some municipalities have begun changing zoning laws and offering incentives for modular construction specifically to address affordability concerns. These policy changes, combined with growing consumer acceptance, could position modular housing as a key component of future housing solutions.

As material costs for traditional construction continue to fluctuate and skilled labor shortages persist in the building trades, the controlled environment of modular manufacturing offers stability that conventional homebuilding cannot match.

While not a complete solution to the complex housing crisis, the success of this Western homebuilder suggests that modular construction may help restore the possibility of homeownership for a generation of Americans who had begun to view it as an unattainable goal.
