I found The New York Enterprise Business Report Awards Dinner held in late September to be an event where access was the value proposition. Not only did I make valuable contacts, more importantly the contacts had direct access to decision makers - many of whom were themselves the decision makers. At the end of the evening I had made direct contact with professionals with whom I am exploring several business opportunities because of their ability to make the call and/or directly open the door and make introductions to the professionals relevant to my interest.

It's difficult to find events that truly cater to the small business community; the NY Enterprise Small Business Awards dinner did just that and exceeded my expectations. In a professional, yet social setting, it was very easy to meet like-minded business executives.
