For 2008 I’ve decided to rev-up and re-take control of my business, so over Christmas a few of your magazines had piled up and I went through them with a new perspective and they’re GREAT. And I’ve “discovered” your Find by Report Link function on-line and I’ve gone back and read many of the articles – and I’ve found lots of good ideas (some of which I’ve shared with other friends in business). So, thank you for your magazine – I am a little late coming to the game, but now I’m here and I really like it.
– Ingrid Sapona, goodwithwords.com
I love the magazine. You guys write great articles that really relate to my business. I have prompted other business contacts to subscribe, keep up the good work!
– Stephen M. Fells, Network Earth, Inc.
I’ve begun reading your magazine prior to starting my own retail consulting practice. It’s informative, insightful and fun to read. Now that I have my own business, I can better relate and make use of your articles. Thank you and keep up the great work.
– Shawn Ezhaghi, Vitet Consulting Group Ltd.
I just wanted to write and tell you how terrific your magazine is. Many times, I often choose to read The NY Enterprise Report over Crain’s or Forbes during my commute. The articles are clear, concise and offer great tips for my business. Many times, I have to tear out the pages to remind me of things I need to research when I get home. All in all, it’s one of my favorite reads and it’s easy to see why people find it a very useful tool for their business and success.
– Glen S. Friedman, Cartridge World - NYC
NY Report is The Magazine! Each issue provides me and my entire staff with practical ideas to run my business. I am extremely particular about the magazines I actually “read” verses the quick skim publications. I look forward to putting some time aside to read this magazine cover to cover. I am involved with a few high-level peer groups and have recommended this magazine to other “like minded” business owners. Keep up the great work!
– Harry J. Abrahamsen, Abrahamsen Financial Group
I love your magazine, I find it so useful from a professional stand point.
– Darren Port, Powered by Professionals
Keep up the good work. I love the magazine & your website. I read the mag cover to cover.
– Gene Sower, Samson Media LLC
Very good job on the October issue! Valuable and interesting content.
– Richard Saybolt, Citigroup
I read your latest issue cover-to-cover on the treadmill this AM. Aside from wishing the type was just one point size larger (aging eyes, you know!), I was blown away by the quality and variety of the content. I learned a ton of new stuff about social media and managing people and money – and was energized and inspired by your cover story. Thank you for providing such a fabulous business tool! I was so giddy from all the inspiration, that I RAN (fast) for five minutes on the treadmill – TWICE , which I’ve never done in my life. So, you can even say that your magazine contributes to middle-aged women’s weight loss. I passed the issue along to my team and told them it was required reading this month. Keep up the great work!
– Nancy A. Shenker, Principal, theONswitch
I think the magazine is fantastic, because it motivates, brings important tips in an entertaining way and the magazine respects the fact that the reader is most likely short on time. I love the links to web features and the archive in the back. The article on the Apple-Metro founderwas inspiring and full with interesting points of view especially on HR and the importance of sticking to your own vision.
– Jeroen Kuiper, VP Sales Kikkerland Design Inc.
I have recently become acquainted with your publication. Since receiving the past two issues, I have not been able to stop reading them and have a new found respect for how much I don't know regarding the small business resources available. I know you don't like to constantly hear it, but I must complement you on a great publication. I did read your message about it's good to hear the complements but what about telling us where we can improve or offer additional benefits to our readers and I find very little to be critical about.
– Joseph W. Biondo, Iversen & Biondo Associates, Inc.
I’ve just read this current issue of the NY Report and I must say – you and the team have done an absolutely wonderful job (yet again).
– Ramon Ray, Smallbiztechnology.com
I don’t think I ever had the chance to tell you that I really enjoy your publication. We work with several business pubs and I must say yours is by far the most interesting and helpful!
– Alessia Swauger, Courtlemagne Communications
I want to thank you for publishing all the articles which have helped my business.
– Sharon Kleinberg, Symmetry
I just had a chance to read the article on email e-ddiction in The New York Enterprise Report. Great article. Thanks so much!
– Marsha Egan, CPCU, PCC, The Egan Group, Inc.
WOW, I am so impressed with your publication, it is informative as well as educational.
– Cindy Mardenfeld, Infinity Relations Inc.
Early this morning I had the pleasure of reading your March 2007 issue of The New York Enterprise Report. I was pleased and impressed with the content of the issue. I found the articles germane and worthy of sharing with my associates. I was equally if not more impressed with your website which I just visited for the first time. I like the comprehensiveness, breadth and depth of it. I found it very user friendly. I expect to spend additional time appreciating its’ scope and content. I am truly happy to have found it and will refer associates to it as well as to your magazine. I thank you and encourage you to continue the fine job.
– Stuart A. Kaufmann, Kaufmann Co.
I wanted to drop you a line letting you know how helpful your article “How to Qualify a Sales Prospect” in the March 2007 New York Enterprise Report was to me. I work for a custom home builder and being one person, I have come to realize that if I don't "pre-qualify" a prospect, I might be missing out on a customer who truly is interested in the home I am showing. Reading your article only emphasized this tactic. Thank you again, for a fine article.
– Kathy Lehmann, Premier Development, Inc.
The New York Enterprise Report is the first magazine in long time that I actually look forward to receiving. I literally read it “cover to cover”. The content is relevant and important to any organization that cares about growth.
– David Rich, President, ICC/Decision Services
I am an avid reader of your magazine and use the accompanying website for a lot of helpful information. The articles are laid out in a simple and concise manner and this is quite helpful for a business owner with limited time. There is always a practical and insightful combination of work, leisure, marketing and sales ideas in each issue and the success stories of entrepreneurs is certainly a welcome beacon for upcoming ranks of business people. Your archival directory is great for looking back on articles that might interest one later on in their needs. Great work!
– Sudhir Sachdev, MBA, CLTC, The OysterBridge Group, Inc.
Most publications have the tendency to be very specific about their audience: NotForProfits, Home businesses, Working mothers, Minorities... which is all fine, but i find your publication to cover all of the above, in a broad array of subjects, unselfishly sharing ideas and tricks with small businesses, from a one man shop to small established shops. The website is clear and intuitive and the feeling is young and dynamic.
– Gisele Tombette, Z Group Inc
Serving on a board of editors of a magazine, I know how hard it is to come up with articles that are relevant and timely for your market, and you've done it. The articles present useful information, are nicely written and not too long.
Congratulations!
– David J. Leffler, Esq., Leffler Marcus & McCaffrey LLC
I always read the New York Enterprise Report and find that it has relevance even for entrepreneurs in the theatrical industry. Keep up the good work.
– Richard K. Greene, The StoryLine Project LLC
I just subscribed to The New York Enterprise Report. There were so many great articles in there, Danny Meyer, Steve Hindy and I was particularly interested in the financing articles. I had actually met twice with New York City Investment Fund a year and a half ago, when my project was not where it is today. Your article inspired my to try them again, as I have addressed some of their concerned. Also the article by Beth Polish is excellent. She is someone I have met with and gotten valuable advice in the past. Congratulations on such a valuable journal. Thank you from one of you newest readers!
– Diana Zelvin, Verb Fitness Clubs
Since I have been getting the NYER newsletter the information contained in it has helped me make better decisions that have helped save me money. Keep up the good work.
– Gerald Genovese, AlphaGraphics, Inc.
I love the magazine. I even went to a New York Enterprise Report event about 18 months ago, and met someone with whom I'm doing about $100,00 worth of business with! THANKS!
– Dana Friedman, Dragonfly Technologies
Thanks so much for your article on Danny Meyer. It’s the best reporting I’ve seen on him, and gives you real insight into his ideology, which is hospitality-driven. We all could learn a lot from Danny Meyer and I’ll bet your article is making that happen.
– Mickey Greaves, Gevity, Inc.
I have subscriptions to various biz magazines, but I turn to the New York Enterprise Report FIRST-- every issue has articles that are directly, immediately applicable to my business. Your magazine feels like a trusted and experienced advisor for my young business. Thank you so much!
– Dan Emery, NYC Guitar School
The latest issue of the magazine was great and very helpful to me. In fact it prompted me to go and look at your old issues for stuff that can help my business. Thanks and congratulations.
– Amir Korangy, The Real Deal
My copy of the NY Enterprise Report arrived, I was delighted to see my question in the Ask the Expert column! I really appreciate the very thorough response that Adam wrote as well. Thank you so much for including the question and finding a great resource to answer it.
– Michele Lifshen Reing, The Creative Judaica Kit Company
I would like to thank you for such a well written and needed publication. As a business owner, I am constantly searching for material that addresses day-to-day small business issues. At long last, your publication has come to the rescue; your articles talk about real issues and often generate new ideas and directions for me. Although I subscribe to 6 business publications a month, I find The New York Enterprise Report to be the most helpful and informative of them all. Thank you for being such a great resource in today’s business world.
– Tracy Scott Berkley, Active Rentals, Active Furnished Apartments
I thoroughly reviewed the last 2 issues and discovered your on-line archive of articles. What a treasure chest of useful info!!! I already e-mailed one article to a client, and foresee using this often. I really like the publication and hope to find more ways we can work together.
– Douglas W. Vergith, State Bank of Long Island
I hate surveys, so I'm not the kind of guy that responds to feedback requests. However, NY Enterprise Report is the the publication I make time to read. I get deluged with trade journals and association newsletters but none has the relevance of NYER. Additionally the website is great, it's the first place I turn to when I'm tweaking my business plan.
– Cliff Franklin, Sabre Integrated Security Systems, LLC
Congratulations on winning the SBA Journalist of the year award. It is certainly well deserved, as NY Enterprise Report in print and on-line is an extremely valuable resource for any small-medium sized business. I read every issue cover to cover and frequently find myself on the web-site. Thanks for filling a need in the NY market.
– Keith Morton, Erimo Consulting
I just found the time today to really look at NY Enterprise Report and it is terrific. The layout is clean, inviting and readable. I personally checked 2 websites mentioned in the issue and I signed up for a subscription. We have a small business in New York and small businesses have special challenges - your magazine addresses those challenges brilliantly
– Hillary Smith, Shooting Sports Retailer
A little more than a year ago, I attended a small business seminar where Robert Levin was a guest speaker. At the time, I was an MBA student at NYU Stern who had just quit my job to develop my own business. I am writing to thank you for the great service your website, report publication and speech seminar served. NY Report.com has served as an invaluable resource in the development of my business. The articles are insightful and most importantly practical - as they provide direct tools and tips that one can actually put into effect. I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for your service as it truly played a large part in the advancement of my business.
– Gregory Spatz, The Shade Store
As always, thanks for a great magazine! So much useful information, I only wish I had time to implement it all.
– Coach Mindy, The Running Center
Congratulations, finally they picked a true winner" (in response to receiving the Journalist of the Year Award from the SBA).
– VR Small, Small Industries' OSS
Your publication is excellent!
– Guy Baroan , Savant Solutions
In an amazingly short time period The Report has established a prime place for itself in the NYC and regional small business community. Kudos to you and your team.
– Marian Banker, Prime Strategies, Inc.
You have made a tremendous difference in the lives of so many people! Best wishes for continued success and fulfillment!
– Sue Fredericks, On Purpose, Inc.
I enjoy the NY Enterprise Report very much. As a struggling business owner, it provides encouragement and valuable information. Keep up the good work.
– John Liguori, Paul Carroll NY
The attendees that visited our table (HP/Office Depot) at the Small Business Success Stories event seemed genuinely interested in getting more information about us. This was a welcome changed from the average tabletop shows we attend. Personally, I liked the topics discussed, were very interesting!
– Chris Caroll, HP Supplies Specialist-USA
I have to more than echo that commendation. Not only was the Small Business Success Stories event professionally arranged, but I made contact with several direct opportunities, including one of the speakers as well as several referral sources - and that was only hitting on about two dozen people. With about 200 people there, it was nearly pandemonium with everyone trying to connect but very respectful of the professional atmosphere. I'm planning to attend every one of the NY Enterprise Report's events.
– Charles F. Schreiber, Greater New York Development Co.
"As my company has grown and evolved, it seems that the topics covered in the magazine are always pertinent to what I am encountering. Many of the articles have helped me navigate the "stormy waters" of being and entrepreneur in NYC.
– Marc Gold, Opticom Solutions, Inc.
I just wanted to write and say how much I enjoy your publication. I have recommended it to several other small business owners. The focus on tips, tricks and practical information with it's regional focus is extremely useful to me, and I tear out to save at least several articles per issue. Because the printed editorial is so focused, I also read the advertisements closely and frequently rip them out and have contacted those companies or put them on my "short list." If any of your readers are like me (Owner of a $5m 6-year old business that has doubled in size over the last 2 years) then I can guarantee your advertisers are getting their money's worth. The fact that they are advertising to ME makes a difference. Thanks again and keep up the great work!!
– Ted Bahr, BZ Media LLC
NY Report is a wonderful resource and I’ve recommended it to some friends and colleagues.
– Lori Neuman, Creative Marketing Alliance
I started my party business 18 months ago and the New York Enterprise Report has been an incredibly helpful tool when I wasn't always sure where I was going. I grew my business organically, so it's been trial-and-error while I've figured out which direction to go in. I always wondered if I'd covered all my bases to make sure everything got done. The hardest parts were aspects of the business I didn't even know I had to do! The Report has been useful in giving me direction on business development in all the different areas of running my own business. The articles are insightful, informative, easy-to-read and understand. Thanks for putting out such a great magazine ... it helps me know what I don't know.
– Ilana Eberson, Real Live People Party
I was most impressed by your magazine. Failing to focus on up-and-coming entrepreneurs with news and views they can use is one of the reasons many newspapers' biz departments are in bad shape these days. The content of your magazine seems to have the pulse on that in spades.
– Milford Prewitt, Nation's Restaurant News
I just wanted to let you know that I just read the most recent issue of your magazine and was extremely impressed. I have read all of them from the very beginning and they get better and better with each issue. Congratulations on the excellent job you have done.
– Steven J. Shanker, Esq.
I took the advice that I received at your last event about following up with my ideas and I keep the notes on my desk so I can take a look at them regularly. I finally implemented some of the marketing strategies. Thanks again for the encouragement. Looking forward to the next event!
– Geri Sciortino - The Bronx Design Group
Just wanted to thank you again for a great event. I received A LOT of positive feedback from the attendees, who mentioned SPECIFIC things they took away from our discussion. Great Work!
– Andrew Hazen, Prime Visibility
I just attended an event, and the sponsors, caliber and number of attendees, facility/staff, breakfast and especially the program and speakers all exceeded my expectations. Thank you for the evident hard work that went into the event on Oct. 19th. I wish you continued success with these and other NY Enterprise Report events.
– Denise M. Graziano Graziano Associates, LLC
This magazine is excellent. The educational resources on their website are tremendous. Thanks for introducing me to this publication.
– Debra Pluchino, GMG Transportation, Inc.
I just wanted to let you know how impressed I was with your publication. The articles are well written, informative, and interesting. The “Archives” section with links to your website is an extremely useful tool. Your publication will help small and medium sized businesses get the expert advice they desperately need. Keep up the good work and the great articles.
– Jack Rahmey, Cartridge Exchange
FANTASTIC magazine!!!!!!! I pass the magazine on to others in the small business world when I am done reading. Keep up the great work...Thank You Staff & Robert Levin, you GALS & guys are the best!
– Patty Wicker - small, woman-owned business owner in NJ
This morning just before I left my home for the office, I picked up the current issue of the New York Enterprise Report with the intention of "skimming" the articles that appeared in the current issue. I would like you to know, that after I started reading the first article, I never "put down" the magazine until my 1 1/2 hour commute ended. In my opinion, the articles in the magazine are helpful and practical to all business people. I have been in business for almost two decades, and I will certainly implement a tip or two from the piece "Bulletproof your business." Keep up the good work and congratulations to you and your team for a fine magazine.
– Granville Triumph, Atlantic Voice & Data Solutions LLC
Thanks for the magazine. It's quite well done. I love the very tactical, how-to approach you take and the Q&A format (of the interviews).
– Guy Kawasaki, Noted businessman and author. Managing Director & Chairman Garage Ventures
The New York Enterprise Report is the ultimate primer for small business in NY. Finally, a unique vehicle that offers sound advice for running your business - where advertisers are implicitly endorsed!
– Reatha Braxton, Braxton Strategic Group
There is now 1 magazine that is a must read for small and midsize business owners: The New York Enterprise Report.
– Rick Frishman, Author, NETWORKING MAGIC & GUERRILLA PUBLICITY
I am impressed that you are able to speak up to business owners where as most publications that say they speak to business owners in my opinion are talking down to them. Congratulations.
– Kathy Elster, Small Business Strategy
Great magazine! Very content rich and informative.
– Robert Moment, Author, Business Coach and Strategist
Love the new mag! When I first leafed through it I wanted to read all of the articles. It was very helpful and informative. I look forward to the next issue.
– Brian Lutz, Tennis Tip
I just received my first printed issue. It has some great content! Thanks again so much for approaching us with the complimentary subscription for our members.

– Michael Macchi, Bridgecom International
I just got around to reading the print version. Wow, there is lots of useful stuff in there. I think you have a winner here.
– Craig James, Sales Solutions
You guys really hit the mark— The Report is exactly what we need! The magazine gives us crucial information for all aspects of our business. In fact, we have not only put some ideas into action, but are already seeing some results. Can't wait for the next issue.
– Alayna Kassan, Presents for Purpose
I just wanted to say that I registered with your website and finished reading "20 RULES for SMALL BUSINESSES". All I can say is "WOW!" I really liked this article. Not only that, but I'm really starting to enjoy some of the other articles you have.
– Pat Hardy, P Hardy Technologies, Inc.
Your articles on e-marketing have saved me so much time and money. I can’t say thank you enough. Keep doing what you do.
– “Mentep”, Back-O-Wall Records
I can’t say thank you enough. What a terrific magazine. I like the prescriptive versus descriptive slant to the content. There are two small business magazines here in the Cleveland area (Smart Business News and Inside Business), and I find yours much more valuable in just one issue. The two locally have only what I can describe as too much ego, in other words, they are a little too self-promoting and the contributors are not as prescriptive, as I mentioned earlier. Your website is terrific as well.
– Steven B. Rucinski, Publisher Small Business CEO
