General Manager

 
 

The New York Enterprise Report, a multimedia company (magazine, website, events) is looking for an Office Manager. This position requires the ability to multitask and stay on top of a demanding and rapidly-changing environment. The successful candidate will have a strong combination of technical, communication and financial skills, among others. The position reports directly to the CEO.

The candidate will be fully responsible for the day to day operations of the office including invoicing, billing, entering sales data, managing banking transactions, daily reporting, negotiating with vendors, assisting with proposals, and marketing efforts, handle HR responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, & Outlook) knowledge of graphics software Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, etc. is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to identify problems and seek solutions independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Very strong scheduling details
  • High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Must excel at prioritizing responsibilities and taking tasks to completion
  • Team player, willingly to assist others, or assist as requested, based upon workload.
  • Manage projects for the publisher
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  • 3+ years experience in an office management and accounting role in an entrepreneurial environment.
