JumpStartNYC is looking for small and mid-size businesses from New York City who would like to participate in their program for out of work professionals who are looking to transition into new roles. If your business has been planning a specific strategic project, JumpStartNYC may be able to help.
Initiated by the NYC Economic Development Corporation, JumpStartNYC, a program of SUNY’s Levin Institute, helps professionals who are currently out of work gain experience in entrepreneurial and start-up firms based in New York City. Over the course of ten to 12 weeks, participants will consult pro-bono on a specific project provided by a New York City business, which will utilize their skills, knowledge, and past experience. The current experience provided by JumpStartNYC and the local business will be an important asset to the professional as they explore new opportunities for their career.
If your business has a strategic project that you think will provide a meaningful learning experience to JumpStartNYC participants, you can click here to find out more. Applications are due by January 13, 2012. Please contact JumpStartNYC@levininstitute.org for more information.
