Business leaders can inadvertently sabotage the desired results of off-site meetings, resulting in low morale and a de-motivated workforce, by making three fatal mistakes:

1. They fail to communicate a purpose that connects with the meeting participants.

2. They create the agenda in a vacuum with little advance input from participants.

3. They fail to create a system of accountability and follow-through for identified priorities after the event.

By applying the above strategies while making your company meeting an annual event, you will be able to effectively react to shifts in the economy and the marketplace, from which your business can grow, improve and succeed long-term.
