Manta, a company information–listing site and community for small businesses, recently released the results of a study of more than 1,000 business owners, which included information on how they connect with other business owners and grow their companies.
The study found that the majority of business owners surveyed used fellow business owners as their top resource for advice. Other answers included colleagues, news outlets, and family and friends.

When asked, “What’s the most interesting place you’ve made a connection that helped grow your business?” most respondents (15 percent) chose a bar. Other answers included an airplane, a wedding, an elevator, and a bathroom.
