Recent NYReport survey reveals the rising cost of benefits

In a recent NY Report survey sponsored by Empire BlueCross and BlueShield, a third of business owners reported their company’s health care premiums rose by at least 10 percent in 2011. An additional 25 percent said their premiums went up between 5 and 10 percent. The majority of businesses did not plan on making changes to their healthcare plan within the next year, and over 30 percent thought their current plan helped to retain and/or attract top talent.
