Torres, who concentrates on corporate and securities matters, also frequently advises both buyers and sellers in complex mergers and acquisitions transactions. Torres has a reputation for helping clients make the big deals— or make their deals bigger.

For example, while helping Locus Energy, a technology services provider for the distributed energy market, successfully structure and close financing, Torres introduced the owners to multiple potential partners. When he represented Capsoft UK Limited in its acquisition of HotDocs® from LexisNexis, the client said Torres was critical to the deal’s closing because of his work with all parties to resolve outstanding issues.

Torres is also the producer of his firm’s annual Venture Capital Ski Weekend, better known as VCs on Skis, an invaluable recreation and networking event in his industry.
