As part of its Victory in Procurement (VIP) for Small Business initiative, American Express OPEN is running a mentorship program to help small businesses win government contracts. Small businesses that are awarded the mentorship receive 20 hours of one-on-one virtual meetings with a government contracting expert.
Through the VIP program, launched in 2009, previous mentees have learned about topics such as business certifications, networking, and teaming arrangements.
The program is currently accepting applications for 2012 mentorships. The deadline is June 1st, 2012. For more information and instructions on how to apply, contact VIPMentorship@mbooth.com.
