A recent Gallup Poll found that Americans trust small business owners the most to create new jobs, in comparison with local business leaders, economists, and government officials.

Seventy-nine percent of respondents answered that they trusted small business owners a “great deal” or “a moderate amount” when asked, “How much do you trust the ideas and opinions of each of the following for creating jobs in the United States—a great deal, a moderate amount, not much, or not at all?”
Also on the list of choices were local business leaders (who scored 74 percent), state governors (57 percent), and mayors and other local government officials (56 percent).
