According to The National Federation of Independent Business, small business optimism dropped for the second consecutive month. In April, the optimism index dropped 0.7 point 91.2 in April; which followed a 2.6-point drop to 91.9 in March. While optimism fell, current sales performance was the best it has been in 40 months, according to the data.
The report pointed to a weak economy and political uncertainty as a possible cause of the pessimistic attitude.
