I have several killer ideas for NY Report. Ideas to help our readers and advertisers. For what it is worth (not a lot probably), the people I have discussed the ideas with think they are really good too. There is just one thing getting in my way to making those realities happen.
And while it doesn't seem like a major challenge, it is for me.
I need to focus in two ways. First, I need to pick one idea (maybe two - oh, there I go again) to execute at a time. This is the hardest thing for me to do as I would like to do all of them successfully at the same time. Second, I need to set aside the time to work on these ideas and how to make them happen. I have made a lot of progress over the years in doing this by allocating time to go out of the office do work on strategic/longer term issues and tactics. I simply can’t get these things done in the office with interruptions, calls, emails etc.
I would love to hear your suggestions on picking and focusing on one initiative at a time.
