A majority of business owners in our survey said their websites influence purchases by the customers, but just 15 percent say their sites directly generate revenue through e-commerce.
If you want to bump up sales (or increase the influence of your company’s website), says Jennifer Shaheen, founder of The Technology Therapist in White Plains, try these strategies:
Develop a specific consultation request form to help capture interested clients
Offer downloadable free e-books to add value to your site and collect prospect information
Invest in a video that provides an animation or a real person explaining your company’s process or product and how it helps the customer
Place contact information prominently on the home page, not just on a “Contact Us” page.
