While many small business owners know the value of training and educating their employees, resources can be a challenge to implementing education strategies. In New York City, employers can find employee training support through Small Business Services’ NYC Business Solutions Training Funds.
Business owners can apply for funding to help pay for employee training in a variety of formats including on-the-job, off-site, manager-led, and external training providers. Funding is also available to teach employees English as Second Language, adult literacy, and basic math.
Once the application is submitted, a training manager will contact you to discuss your company’s training goals and help determine what training solutions work best. To determine if your business meets the criteria, you must fill out the pre-application by July 16 to receive funds in September.
Visit their website by clicking here. You can also email them at training@sbs.nyc.gov.
