In a recent NY Report survey, readers revealed the relationship they have with their accountants. Most business owners consider their accountants to be either a critical business advisor or an occasional advisor.
“We have a great accountant,” says one respondent. “He has been in the area for a very long time, and is respected by the community. When we need financial advice, we always turn to him. He is a vital part of our business.”
However, another respondent wasn’t sure how to get more out of his company’s relationship with their accountant. “I pay my accountant what I consider a lot of money and am not at all sure that I am getting enough for my money.”
