First Research is an industry intelligence company that provides streamlined profiles of various industries using information gathered from hundreds of sources. The firm offers timely e-mail notifications of industry profiles, updated quarterly, which can be a great tool for sales teams that serve clients in many different industries. Setting up a blog is a great way for businesses with limited resources to have a Web presence. Both Blogger and Wordpress provide free blogs with an interface that’s easy to use and rich in features. Jott.com











Jott.com is a free service that converts voice messages to e-mails, text messages, reminders, lists and appointments. Once signed up, you can call Jott’s toll-free number and leave a voice recording that will be converted into text and sent to your contacts, groups, blogs or just back to yourself as a reminder. Contacts and groups are added to your Jott account via either e-mail or text message from your mobile phone. Once your account is set up, you can search for contact information remotely by sending a text message to Jott with the contact’s name.
