We all know that insurance is something we have to live with. Now, a website makes getting coverage a little less painful for small businesses.
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) now offers information, tips and resources for owners of small companies and home-based businesses. The association’s website covers a wide range of insurance issues that such enterprises face, including those involving workers’ compensation, business property and liability, group health and disability coverage. For example, the section on health insurance provides a basic introduction to group policies, ideal for growing companies that are looking into providing health coverage for employees; advice on the types of policies that provide the right fit for your particular industry; tips on what factors in your workplace will affect your premiums; and more.
The workers comp section addresses such topics as ways to minimize risk in the workplace, while that on property and liability insurance offers advice on what coverage your building landlord will provide and what you might need in addition to this.
